Our Company
Founded in 1989 by Brian McCafferty, an experienced software engineer and seasoned IT executive, the company began developing software for the legal industry. When PC networks were first being developed Automation Concepts became an innovator in the Boston area with networked software applications.
As the demand for networks developed so did our expertise. Soon we became the network provider of choice by many smaller resellers in the Boston market.
Out in front again, with the early implementation and adoption of the internet, Automation Concepts was one of the first companies in the area to address network security concerns. Soon we found our software business taking a back seat to our networking business.
With our focus on infrastructure design and security, our consulting practice soon took us to other states, other countries, and eventually as far as the Middle East.
As threats grew so did government regulation and again, we were there to meet the need. We have been helping companies protect their digital assets for over 21 years.
